Everything has its raw materials, but many raw materials need good storage methods, just like glass bottle raw materials. If they are not stored well, the raw materials will become ineffective.
After all kinds of raw materials arrive at the factory, they must be stacked in batches according to their types. They should not be placed in the open air, because it is easy for the raw materials to be dirty and mixed with impurities, and in the case of rain, the raw materials will absorb too much water. After any raw materials, especially mineral raw materials such as quartz sand, feldspar, calcite, dolomite, etc., are transported, they are first analyzed by the laboratory in the factory according to the standard method, and then the formula is calculated according to the composition of various raw materials.
The design of the warehouse for storing raw materials must prevent the raw materials from being mixed with each other, and the warehouse used must be properly fixed. The warehouse should be equipped with automatic ventilation equipment and equipment for loading, unloading and transporting raw materials.
Special storage conditions are required for strongly hygroscopic substances. For example, potassium carbonate should be stored in tightly sealed wooden barrels or plastic bags. Auxiliary raw materials with small amounts, mainly colorants, should be stored in special containers and labeled. In order to prevent even a small amount of colorant from falling into other raw materials, each colorant should be taken from the container with its own special tool and weighed on a smooth and easy-to-clean scale, or a plastic sheet should be placed on the scale in advance for weighing.
Therefore, for toxic raw materials, especially highly toxic raw materials such as white arsenic, glass bottle factories should have special storage containers and procedures for obtaining and using them, and management and use methods and comply with relevant transportation regulations. For flammable and explosive raw materials, special storage locations should be set up, and they should be stored and kept separately according to the chemical properties of the raw materials.
In large and small mechanized glass factories, the daily consumption of raw materials for glass melting is extremely large, and raw material selection and processing equipment is often required. Therefore, it is very necessary for glass bottle manufacturers to realize the mechanization, automation, and sealing systematization of raw material processing, storage, transportation and use.
The raw material preparation workshop and batching workshop must be equipped with good ventilation equipment and cleaned regularly to keep the air in the factory clean at all times to meet sanitary conditions. All workshops that retain some manual mixing of materials should be equipped with sprayers and exhaust equipment, and operators must wear masks and protective equipment and undergo regular physical examinations to prevent silica deposition.
